Information we collect
Calculator inputs: All calculations are performed locally in your browser. Your income targets, expenses, and hours are never sent to our servers. We cannot see the numbers you enter into the calculator.
Usage analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site — pages visited, time on site, and general geographic region (country/city level only). This data is anonymous and aggregated. You can opt out using your browser's privacy settings or a GA4 opt-out extension.
Contact form: If you submit our contact form, we receive your name, email address, and message. This information is processed by Formspree and used solely to respond to your inquiry.
Cookies
We use minimal cookies:
- Google Analytics cookies — for usage analytics (see above)
- Advertising cookies — if Google AdSense ads are displayed, Google may set cookies for ad personalization. You can control these via your Google account settings or browser settings.
We do not use tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or any cookies beyond those described above.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
- Vercel — our hosting provider. Vercel processes request logs that include your IP address.
- Google Analytics 4 — usage analytics. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
- Google AdSense — advertising. See Google's Privacy Policy and Advertising Settings.
- Formspree — contact form processing. See Formspree's Privacy Policy.
- Bonsai — we link to Bonsai as an affiliate. If you click through and sign up, Bonsai may set cookies. We receive a commission if you purchase a paid plan.
How we use your information
- To respond to contact form messages
- To improve the calculator and content based on aggregate usage data
- To display relevant advertisements via Google AdSense
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Your rights

Data retention
Contact form messages are retained for up to 2 years, then deleted. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' default retention settings (14 months for user-level data).
